Pre-printing of cards is the process where
you would print your cardstock on a mass basis to ensure highest quality
branding. This is very effective in the membership, loyalty and gift card
markets. The personalisation of the cards if required is done using thermal PVC card printers to add
names, numbers and photos for client recognition.
The market recognises this as the lowest
cost to company option and one can achieve far more than just good quality
printing. Especially for the security sensitive applications there are many
features that can be added to card, which the normal thermal printing
environment does not readily offer.
Consider elements like UV, signature strips, holographic images, fine line
printing, metallic lustre and many, many more.

The quality of the card manufactured is of
the utmost importance as the thermal process to follow is highly dependant on
the quality of the card surface. We understand this and focus on providing you
with cards with supersmooth surfaces to limit costs due to
damages to your thermal heads.
As
a generalisation: large card volumes tend to work out at lower unit cost except
if the thermal printing to be done negates the cost exercise by extreme
printing cost (e.g. high security applications). Yet this does not negate
the option of taking lower volume cards. We will surprise you with our costing.
Manufacturing cost are directly proportional to volume of cards and number of
features (colours, magnetic strips, signature strips)
The manufacture process entails:
- good quality artwork in hi-resolution PDF,
- approval and signoff of digital proofsheet,
- printing on large PVC sheets,
- adding additional feature requirements,
- laminating with final surface requirements,
- die-punching of the cards,
- ISO quality check,
- despatch.
This process can take as little as 14-21 days. We will manage the full process on your behalf.
